and inserting in its place: <br /> Board of Appeals <br /> Section 205.1 General. In order to hear and decide appeals of orders, decisions <br /> or determinations made by the Building Official relative to the application and <br /> interpretation of this Code, there shall be and is hereby created a Board of <br /> Review pursuant to Ordinance No. 351-75 as amended or hereafter superseded. <br /> Appeals from written orders of the Building Official must be filed within thirty <br /> (30) calendar days from the date of receipt of the written order by the aggrieved <br /> party. The aggrieved party shall cause to be made at his own expense any tests <br /> or research required to substantiate his claim. <br /> D. Section 302 of the Uniform Code for the Abatement of Dangerous Buildings, <br /> 1994 Edition, is hereby amended by adding this additional section: <br /> For the purposes of this Code, the power to order abatement by repairing, <br /> rehabilitation, demolition or removal shall include the power to order a <br /> dangerous building which is vacant or for which an order of vacation is in effect <br /> secured against unauthorized entry. <br /> E. Section 403 of the Uniform Code for the Abatement of Dangerous Buildings, <br /> 1994 Edition, is hereby amended by deleting: <br /> Repair, Vacation and Demolition <br /> Section 403. The following standards shall be followed by the Building Official <br /> (and by the Board of Appeals if an appeal is taken) in ordering the repair, <br /> vacation or demolition of any dangerous building or structure: <br /> 1. Any building declared a dangerous building under this code shall be <br /> made to comply with one of the following: <br /> 1.1 The building shall be repaired in accordance with the current <br /> building code or other current code applicable to the type of <br /> substandard condition requiring repair; or <br /> 1.2 The building shall be demolished at the option of the building <br /> owner; or <br /> 1.3 If the building does not constitute an immediate danger to the <br /> life, limb, property or safety of the public it may be vacated, <br /> secured and maintained against entry. <br /> 2. If the building or structure is in such condition as to make it immediately <br /> dangerous to the life, limb, property or safety of the public or its <br /> occupants, it shall be ordered to be vacated. <br /> 3 <br />
