and inserting in its place: <br /> Section 403 - Standards To Be Followed. The following shall be followed by <br /> the Building Official (the City Council if a demolition resolution and by the <br /> Board of Appeals if an appeal is taken) in ordering the repair, vacation, or <br /> demolition of any dangerous building or structure. <br /> 1. Any building declared a dangerous building shall either be repaired in <br /> accordance with the current Building Code or shall be demolished at the <br /> option of the owner. <br /> 2. If the building or structure is in such condition as to make it immediately <br /> dangerous to life, limb, property or safety of the public or its occupants, <br /> it shall be ordered vacated; a vacated building may be required to be <br /> secured against unauthorized entry. <br /> F. Section 801.1 of the Uniform Code for the Abatement of Dangerous Buildings, <br /> 1994 Edition, is hereby amended by deleting: <br /> Procedure. When any work or demolition is to be done pursuant to Section <br /> 701.3, item 3, of this Code, the Building Official shall issue his order therefor <br /> to the Director of Public Works and the work shall be accomplished by <br /> personnel of this jurisdiction or by private contract under the direction of said <br /> Director. Plans and specifications therefor may be prepared by said Director, <br /> or he may employ such architectural and engineering assistance on a contract <br /> basis as he may deem reasonably necessary. If any part of the work is to be <br /> accomplished by private contract, standard public works contractual procedures <br /> shall be followed. <br /> and inserting in its place: <br /> Procedure. When any work or repair, securing or demolition is to be done <br /> pursuant to Section 701.3, item 3, of this Code, the Building Official shall order <br /> the work to be accomplished by City personnel or by private contract under the <br /> direction of said Building Official. Plans and specifications therefor may be <br /> prepared by said Building Official or he may employ such architectural and <br /> engineering assistance on a contract basis as he may deem reasonably necessary. <br /> G. Section 901 of the Uniform Code for the Abatement of Dangerous Buildings, <br /> 1994 Edition, is hereby amended by deleting: <br /> Section 901. The Director of Public Works shall keep an itemized account of <br /> the expense incurred by the City in the repair or demolition of any building <br /> done pursuant to the provisions of Section 701.3, item 3 of this Code. Upon <br /> completion of the work or repair or demolition, said Director shall prepare and <br /> file with the City Clerk a report specifying the work done, the itemized and <br /> total cost of work a description of the real property upon which the building or <br /> structure is or was located, and the names and addresses of the persons entitled <br /> to notice pursuant to subsection of Section 401.3 <br /> 4 <br />
