• <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds: <br /> 1. That the zoning proposed to implement the adopted Land Use Plan promotes an orderly <br /> accommodation of growth consistent with the Land Use Concept described in the Everett <br /> Growth Management Comprehensive Plan; bears a substantial relation to the public <br /> health, safety and welfare; and promotes the best long term interests of the Everett <br /> community. <br /> 2. The rezoning of the property subject to the Costco rezone application will occur through a <br /> separate instrument(Resolution of Intent to Rezone) as provided by Ordinance No. 1671- <br /> 89, as amended. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1. That portion of the Zoning Map established by Ordinance No. 1671-89, identified <br /> herein as Area# 1, which is generally located on the west side of 19th Avenue SE, and north of <br /> 100th Street SE, as identified on the attached map marked "Exhibit A" which is incorporated <br /> herein by reference, and which is specifically described as follows: <br /> That portion of Section 18, Township 28 North, Range 5 East, W.M., described as <br /> follows: <br /> That portion of the South half of the Southeast quarter of the Southeast quarter of Section <br /> 18 lying East of the right-of-way of Interstate 5. <br /> is hereby rezoned from R-4 (Multiple Family High Density)to B-2 (Community Business). <br /> Section 2. That portion of the Zoning Map established by Ordinance No. 1671-89, identified <br /> herein as Area#2, which is generally bounded by 100th Street SE on the north, the easterly <br /> right-of-way of Interstate 5 on the west, the south right-of-way of 102nd Street SE on the south, <br /> and 19th Avenue SE on the east, as identified on the attached map marked "Exhibit A" which is <br /> incorporated herein by reference, and which is specifically described as follows: <br /> That portion of Section 19, Township 28 North, Range 5 East, W.M., described as <br /> follows: <br /> BEGINNING at the northeast corner of Section 19, Township 28 North, Range 5 East, <br /> W.M.,which is the POINT OF BEGINNING; THENCE, west along the north Section <br /> line of said Section 19 to the east right-of-way line of Interstate 5; THENCE, south along <br /> said east right-of-way line of Interstate 5 to a point where said east-of-way line intersects <br /> with the westerly projection of the south right-of-way line of 102nd Street SE; THENCE, <br /> east along the westerly projection of the south right-of-way line of 102nd Street SE and <br /> along the south right-of-way line of 102nd Street SE to the east Section line of said <br /> Section 19; THENCE, north along said east Section line of said Section 19 to the POINT <br /> OF BEGINNING; excepting therefrom the north half of the northeast quarter of the <br /> southwest quarter of the northeast quarter of the northeast quarter of said Section 19. <br /> 2 <br />
