In most cases, those departments are <br /> Planning and Community Development, Public Works, and Fire. <br /> E. Effect of Preliminary Approval <br /> Preliminary Approval of the Binding Site Plan by the City shall constitute <br /> authorization for the applicant to take the necessary steps to meet the <br /> conditions imposed by the City before commencing the final Binding Site Plan <br /> review process. <br /> F. Time Limitations <br /> The applicant must complete all conditions of Preliminary Approval within three <br /> (3) years following the date of Preliminary Approval, after which time the <br /> Preliminary Approval is void. An extension may be granted by the Planning and <br /> Community Development Department for one (1) year if the applicant has <br /> attempted in good faith to complete the requirements of Preliminary Approval <br /> within the original time period. Provided, however, the applicant must file a <br /> written request with the Planning and Community Development Department <br /> requesting the extension at least thirty (30) days prior to the expiration of the <br /> original time period. <br /> 10 <br />
