The <br /> opinions, findings, conclusions, and recommendations expressed in this <br /> publication/ program/exhibition are those of the author(s) and do not <br /> necessarily reflect the views of the Department of Justice, Office on <br /> Violence Against Women. Grant funds are administered by the Office of <br /> Crime Victims Advocacy, Washington State Department of Community, <br /> Trade & Economic Development." <br /> 6.4 Ownership of Project Materials. Contractor must obtain advance <br /> written approval from the Office on Violence Against Women program <br /> manager assigned to this award, and must comply with all conditions <br /> specified by the program manager in connection with that approval, <br /> before: 1) using award funds to purchase ownership of, or a license to <br /> use, a copyrighted work; or 2) incorporating any copyrighted work, or <br /> portion thereof, into a new work developed under this award. <br /> 6.5 Safeguarding of Confidential Information. <br /> Contractor shall not use or disclose confidential information in any <br /> manner that would constitute a violation of federal law or applicable <br /> provisions of Washington State law. The Contractor agrees to comply <br /> with all federal and state laws and regulations, as currently enacted or <br /> revised, regarding data security and electronic data interchange of <br /> confidential information. <br /> Contractor shall protect confidential information collected, used, or <br /> acquired in connection with this Agreement, against unauthorized use, <br /> disclosure, modification, or loss. The Contractor shall ensure its <br /> directors, officers, employees, subcontractors or agents use the <br /> confidential information solely for the purposes of accomplishing the <br /> services set forth in this Agreement. The Contractor agrees not to <br /> release, divulge, publish, transfer, sell or otherwise make confidential <br /> information known to unauthorized persons without the express written <br /> consent of the affected party or as otherwise authorized by law. The <br /> Contractor agrees to implement safeguards to prevent unauthorized <br /> access, use, or disclosure of confidential information. The Contractor <br /> shall notify the City immediately after becoming aware of any <br /> unauthorized access, use, or disclosure of confidential information and <br /> shall take necessary steps to mitigate the harmful effects of such use or <br /> disclosure. <br /> 6.6 Travel and Subsistence Reimbursement. Travel and subsistence <br /> reimbursement shall be made in accordance with the guidelines followed <br /> by the Contractor in the course of normal operations. However, travel <br /> and subsistence reimbursement shall not exceed per diem rates and <br /> travel allowances paid in accordance with rates set for state employees <br /> pursuant to RCW 43.03.050 and RCW 43.03.060 as now existing or <br /> hereafter amended. <br /> 6.7 Treatment of Assets. Purchase of equipment with a useful life of <br /> more than one year and an acquisition cost of$5,000 or more per unit is <br /> not allowed. <br /> AGREEMENT RE STOP GRANT Page 4 <br /> 3Z <br />
