One full-size unbound conformance-ready set of the contract documents will be <br /> provided to the City. <br /> 8.0 Task 800 — Services During Construction <br /> 8.1 Subtask 801 — Engineering Services During Construction <br /> Purpose <br /> Provide engineering support services during the construction of the pipeline. <br /> Consultant Services <br /> 1. Attend a pre-construction planning meeting and three other project meetings. <br /> 2. Respond to questions and requests for information from the Contractor and construction <br /> management staff, including providing technical interpretation of contract drawings and <br /> specifications. <br /> 3. Review construction submittals, RFI's, change orders, and other construction <br /> documentation. Provide written comments to assess the general conformance with the <br /> Contract Documents. <br /> City Responsibilities <br /> 1. Provide two copies of all submittals, RFI's, change orders, and other construction <br /> documentation to the Engineer. One will be retained by the Engineer, the other returned <br /> to the City. <br /> Assumptions <br /> 1. The construction schedule, from Contractor selection to substantial completion, will be <br /> approximately 11 months. <br /> 2. Engineering support services does not include full-time observation of the construction <br /> progress. City will provide observation or amend the contract to include observation in <br /> the Engineer's services. <br /> 3. The pre-construction meeting will take approximately 4 hours, and be attended by the <br /> Project Manager, Project Engineer, and Senior Permit Specialist. Three other <br /> construction project progress meetings will be held. <br /> 4. Approximately 30 submittal/shop drawing packages will be reviewed, with 50 percent <br /> requiring resubmittal. An average review and processing time of 4 hours per <br /> submittal/resubmittal (60 total) is used for budgeting <br /> 5. Approximately 20 RFI packages will be reviewed. An average review and processing <br /> time of 4 hours per RFI is used for budgeting. <br /> Deliverables <br /> 1.
