10.0 Task 1000 — Additional Services <br /> 10.1 Subtask 1001 — Provide Additional Services as Authorized by <br /> the City <br /> Purpose <br /> The purpose of this task is to provide a place holder task and budget for additional services to <br /> the City as requested and authorized by the City Project Manager. <br /> Consultant Services <br /> 1. Scope of services to be determined at the time of the request and agreed to by the City <br /> and Consultant. No services will be started under this task without written/e-mailed <br /> authorization from the City Project Manager. <br /> City Responsibilities <br /> 1. Responsibilities to be determined at the time of the request and agreed to by the City <br /> and Consultant. <br /> Assumptions <br /> 1. Assumptions to be determined at the time of the request and agreed to by the City and <br /> Consultant. <br /> Deliverables <br /> 1. Deliverables to be determined at the time of the request and agreed to by the City and <br /> Consultant. <br /> 11.0 Task 1100 — Geotechnical (Zipper Zeman) <br /> 11.1 Subtask 1101 — Geotechnical <br /> Purpose <br /> Geotechnical investigations will be completed to characterize soil and groundwater conditions <br /> along the alignment, obtain samples for laboratory testing of index soil properties, and to <br /> provide an evaluation of engineering and construction aspects of the planned replacement (as <br /> summarized under Deliverables). <br /> Consultant Services <br /> 1. Review available geologic and geotechnical information and data for the project vicinity. <br /> 2. Conduct a reconnaissance of the alignment to evaluate general surface conditions <br /> affecting the project. <br /> 3. Stake proposed exploration locations during a site visit with City representatives. <br /> 4. Contact Utilities Underground Locating Center prior to field explorations. <br /> 5. Explore subsurface soil conditions by completing backhoe test pits at 12 to 15 locations, <br /> to depths of 12 to 14 feet below ground surface. <br /> 6. Complete 2 borings, with piezometers installed for water level measurements, in low- <br /> 0 lying western end of alignment. Borings to be completed with truck-mounted hollow <br /> Everett Replacement of Water Transmission Line No.2 16 of 21 <br /> Phase 88 Scope of Services <br />
