SCOPE OF SERVICES DEFINED <br /> Phase III— Construction Observation & Administration Services <br /> The scope of services for construction engineering services by the Consultant for the federally <br /> funded 41S` Street/Broadway Arterial Improvements project is supplemented with the following. <br /> The main task under this contract is to provide construction observation services under the <br /> leadership of City of Everett Senior Construction Observer and Project Manager. Following <br /> tasks are not included in the scope and fee and will be performed when requested by the City of <br /> Everett Project Manager; contract administration, meetings, and project correspondence as. <br /> required for the construction of the project, as detailed below. <br /> 1. General Assumptions <br /> • It is understood that City of Everett will lead all tasks described below and Perteet will <br /> provide assistance to the City Senior Construction Observer and Project Manager. <br /> • City of Everett will provide a Senior Construction Observer to lead the construction <br /> observation, administration, and management duties. <br /> • The attached budget for the services detailed below is based on the services of one full- <br /> time construction observer based on a 140 working day schedule. Construction <br /> administration and management will be provided as requested on as-needed basis. <br /> • Construction survey is provided by the Contractor per the Contract Provisions. <br /> • City's Senior observer will take the lead in distributing submittals for review and Perteet <br /> will review submittals as the design engineer of record when needed, <br /> • The Contractor will provide a field office for the Construction Management team as <br /> specified in the Contract Documents. <br /> • The City shall supply selected construction documents and forms. <br /> • The project is a Federally Aided project that includes DBE & Training requirements. <br /> Record keeping will be as required for CA compliance for Federally Funded Projects; <br /> this task will be performed by the City. <br /> • The level of effort for each task is limited to the amount of labor and expenses indicated <br /> in the attached budget. Additional effort beyond these limits will be considered Extra <br /> Work and will be paid per the hourly rates and overhead expenses as shown on the <br /> attached budget. <br /> • For the following services, labor allowances are an estimate only. The level of effort <br /> required for this work cannot be accurately predicted as it depends on issues outside of <br /> the Consultant team's control. Some of these issues include quality of Contractor <br /> submittals,number of submittals and if multiple reviews are required and unforeseen <br /> conditions at the site. Allowance for multiple submittals due to unacceptable quality of <br /> the submittals is not included in the Labor Hours estimate. <br /> 1. PROJECT ADMINISTRATION & MANAGEMENT <br /> 1.1. Prepare monthly billings and progress reports. <br /> 1.2.
