EXHIBIT A-2 •
- SCOPE OF WORK
TASK 06— PIPELINE CONDITION ASSESSMENT
No additional work is anticipated under this task.
TASK 07 —DESIGN
URS will develop the design criteria in conformance with AWWA standards. The results of the
previous geotechnical investigation, survey program, wetland investigation, and discussions with
the City will contribute to the design criteria. Activities to be performed as part of this task
include the following:
• Geotechnical
o Trenching design
o Shoring considerations
o Excavation plan
• Pipeline
o Design in accordance with AWWA standards
o Operating pressure based on City-provided elevations and pipe profile
o Load and thrust calculations
o Connections from existing to new pipeline
o Constructability and construction sequence
o Replacing service connection to Eagle's property on west bank, if required
o Coatings: interior and exterior
o Blow-off valves, air-vacuum release, and other valves as needed
o Simple dechlorinization vault (up to 10-ft by 10-ft in plan)
• River Hydraulics
o Review and update the open channel HEC-RAS model
o Review and update the scour depth calculations
o Set the depth of pipeline installation within the river
o Design of river diversion structures during construction, including fish passage
• Civil
o Design pipeline dewatering and treatment of chlorinated water
o Design cofferdam design for two-phase construction of the trench installation
o Locate staging areas
o Select best management practices
o Prepare erosion and sediment control plan
The design will be summarized in the Design Report(Task 08)with design calculations included
as appendices to the report. The design will be used to generate the Construction Plan Drawings
(Task 09).
C 1
Pa&e5of10
