EXHIBIT A-2
SCOPE OF WORK
1
• Total costs for each component of the construction
• Mark-up overhead, sales tax, City management and contingency
The cost estimate will be submitted to the City separately from other project documents.
Submittals will be provided to the City at the 60%, 95% and 100% design levels of the project.
TASK 12 — CONSTRUCTION SCHEDULE
URS will work with the City to develop a project design, materials procurement and construction
schedule with primary construction milestones. This will be used as a reference for the City to
plan for project installation and permit acquisition, and to plan for the pipeline shutdown for
concurrent connections of both ends of the new trenched pipe to the existing pipeline.
The schedule will also be used to support the contractor's construction schedule, specifically to
plan for the pipeline shutdown, connections, disinfection and startup. The City will provide the
maximum duration that the pipeline can be off-line during construction.
The construction schedule will be developed using Microsoft Project and submitted to the City at
the 60%, 95% and 100% design levels.
TASK 13 — PROJECT MANUAL
URS will compile a project manual for bidding that will serve as the basis for the construction
contract. The manual will consist of the following sections:
• Division Zero — Contract Documents
• Division 1 —General Construction Provisions
• Divisions 2 to 15 —Technical Specifications(see Task 10)
For Divisions Zero and 1, URS will use City-provided master specifications_ The divisions will
be supplemented by a Summary of Work, List of Bid Items, and other appropriate project-
specific modifications that will be developed by URS.
Draft Technical Specifications will be provided at the 60% design level. A complete version will
be prepared for the 95% submittal and revised to 100%based on City comments.
TASK 14 — BIDDING SUPPORT
URS will provide support to the City during the bidding process by attending the pre-bid meeting
and addressing comments and responding to questions posed by potential bidders. If required,
URS will prepare and submit addenda to the design.
Page 8of10
