Section 1103.2.2 <br />/l. Curbs, guardrails, or raised truncated domes should be provided where the accessible route of <br />/ travel crosses or adjoins vehicular areas. Sections 1106.4.8 & 1106.17 <br />3The exterior accessible parking spaces should be shown with access isles, curb cuts and be located <br />as nezr as possible to the accessible entrances. Section 1107 <br />Each required accessible parking space not designated for accessible dwelling units should be <br />shown as having a sign 3'-5' high centered at the head of the space and bearing the words, "State <br />Disabled Parking Permit Required." Sections 1106.27.2.4 & 1107.3 <br />�S The accessible parking spaces should be shown with a maximum 1:48 slope. Section 1107.2.4 <br />Stairway treads should be shown to have rounded, non -slip nosings. Section 1106.9.3 <br />07. reas of evacuation assistance and all their details such as size, location, telephone, fire <br />rotection, signs, etc. should be shown. 48" clear width between handrails in each stairway per <br />Section 1104.1. Note that this office should be contacted prior to resubmission if the Exception is <br />chosen for compliance. <br />All doors in the building on the accessible route of travel with a latch set or lock set should be <br />shown as having lever -type operating hardware. Section 1106.3.1 <br />y Signs for the visually impaired should be provided to identify accessible entrances, public toilet <br />rooms, stairs, and elevators. Where other signs are provided, they should also comply. Sections <br />1103.2.4 & 1106.16 <br />Dwelling Units <br />Per a conversation with the architect on 10/9/98, all dwelling units are designed to be adaptable. <br />The plans should show which units will be the adaptable Type A units (5 units total required on <br />site), all other units onsite will be assumed to be adaptable Type B units per Section 1103.1.8.2 & <br />1106.27. <br />
