The applicant's landscaper stated that <br /> the required Type III landscaping will not survive on a long-term basis in the area under the <br /> I-5 bridge. <br /> The proposed additional landscaping west of the parking lot, p�rticularly that next to the <br /> dr;veway, will help to break up the appearance of the parking lot. <br /> Conclusions: The proposed landscaping at the Tiz Door Sales warehouse site will break up <br /> the appearance of the parking lot, ar,d will achieve the intent and purpose of the Zoning <br /> Code requirement. <br /> Required landscaping under the I-5 overpass wiil likely not survive, and would not be <br /> effective in breaking up the appearance of the parking lot. <br /> Decision: The City of Everett Planning Girector hereby GRANTS approval of the request <br /> to allow a modific�tion of landscape requirements for required landscaping located und�:r <br /> I-5, the location of permeter landscaping, and for interior parking lot landscaping subject to <br /> the follawing conditions: <br /> 1 . Landscaping must be provided along the west side of the parking lot and driveway <br /> as shown on the landscaping plan dated October 29, 97 (received in the Planning <br /> Department November 5, 19971, <br /> 2.
