For our use, we have been providcd wi!h plans and pictures from the over- <br />excavation and cons[ruction of the lower basement area; original house plans; ske:ches of the basement <br />area prepared by CG Engineering; and a list created by you of your knowledge of what construction <br />items had bcen done in the past and your preliminary ideas of improvements that you would like <br />addressed. <br />SiTE CONDITIONS <br />Surface Conditions <br />7'he property consists of an irregular-shaped parcel covering approximatcly 0.17 acres as shown on the <br />Schematic Site Plan in Figure 2. The property is relatively level to gently sloping from the southeast to <br />he nonhwest. The site is currendy occupied by an existing single-family residence within the cen:.�l <br />portion of the property. Thc ncwly constructed basement area is located within thc northem half of the <br />existine residcnce. An existing deck is located along [he western side of the residence. The propc.ry <br />around the residence is generally covered with grass, landscaping plants, and young ro mature trces. The <br />property is bordered to the north and south by existing residential properties,to the cast by 51" Place <br />West, and a vacant woodcd and crcek area to the west. We did not observe surface water within thc <br />vicinity of the residence during our sitc visit on November 18, 2013. <br />Subsurface Conditions <br />Geology: The gcologic imits for tlus are� are shown on the Geologic Map of the Evcrctt 7.5-Minute <br />uadraagl 1 Snohomish Countv, Washington, by Jamcs P. Minard (U.S.G.S., 1985). 'I'hc si[c is mapped <br />as Advance Outwash (Qva). The advance outwash is descnbed as cican, stratificd sand and 6�ravels. Our <br />cxplorations gcnerally cncountered undocumentcd fill soils underlain by fine to medium sand soils <br />consistcnt with thc dcscription of advance outwash soils. <br />Explorations: T}�e subsurface conditions wilhin the sitc were explored on Monday Novcmbcr 18, 2013 <br />by excavatiag two Icst pits to depths ranging from 5.5 and 8.0 fcet below thc existing ground surface on <br />the northcR, and eastcro sides of thc existing bascmcnt walls, respectively.
