t4e:
That's good. I'm glad you are looking for another location.
i hope you find one because you can't operate the miil here.
Is that wood (pointing to the truck load of wood) firewoo37
George: No, it's not.
Me: I didn't think so; it's much too big for fireplaces. At any
rate, George, you are going Yo have to stop this.
Georg=_: O.K.
Duriny our nonversation, the saw stopped and Doyle Melton came over to
tell George that he was leaving for a few minutes. I don't remenber
what he said but it was an errand he had to run. I have seen Doyle at
the mill on other occasions and it appears that he is employed there.
After talking with Georqe, I went back to my car and George continued
operation of the hacker.
Coming out of the mill area I started to drive down 51st Street, when
a neighbor stopped me. He asked if there wasn't something the City
could do to stop the mill operation. He said that workers are out
there at 7:30 a.m. and start the mill and run it throuqh late hours
at night. He said they also run the mill on weekends. I didn't get
the gentleman's name tlat I was talking with but he seemed quite con-
cerned about the mi11 operation.
The gentleman also stated that Carl Condit, previous owner of the mill,
was living in one of the sheds at the mill. I have heard this before
and have seen a TV antenna attached to a shed, but have not gained
access to the shed for inspection of it being used for habitation.
i told the gentlemen that the City Legal staff was taking the necessary
steps to halt operation of the mill.
, . o
i F- /7 /%
Mar n G.
