Figures 3 and 4 show the trip distribution percentages for the Academy
(weekdays) and Congregation (Sundays), respectively. The weekday daily and p.m. peak and
Sunday daily and peak hour trip assignments based on the distribution percentages are shown in
figures 5 and 6, respectively.
Level of Service Analysis
A level of service (LOS1 anslysis was conducted for the intersection of 23rd Drive West and
Merrill Creek Parkway based on the methodology outlined in the 1994 Highway Capacity
Manual. The LOS analysis was conducted for the p.rn. peak hour under 1998 existing and 2000-
wilh-project conditions. The results of the LOS analysis indicates that the intersection currently
operaces at LOS B for the southbound movements from 23rd Urive West and will continue to do
so with the developmen[. LOS calculations are attached for reference.
Signal Warrant Analysis
A signal warrant analysis was also conducted for the intersection of 23rd Drive West and Merrill
Creek Parkway. The signal warrant analysis followed the methodology and guidelines oudined
in the Manual of Unifcrm Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD). Traffic volumes were collected
on February 24, 1998 for the three epproaches of the intersection. Single lane approaches
currendy exists at the intersection. The results of the signal warrant analysis indicates that the
intcrsection currendy does not meet any of the signal warrants ideatified in the MUTCD.
\V'tr nr,q_ctnnrnjrrGqnnngWnrchiuiA'ORTNTlA.DOC
w.
