Novaek Property 99-11-10
510 Place
Everett, Wa.
If grading must be initiated within areas of the site where soils are more than about
2 percent wetter than optimum, those areas to receive fill should be blanketed with a
clean, coarse free draining crushed rock, quarry spalls or equivalent non -moisture
sensitive material to provide a working surface for the subsequent structural fill
placement. No fill materials shall be placed over or near the ravine slopes located
within the western portion of the site.
4.3 Structural Fill
All fill placed within the proposed driveway prism, within areas to be graded or that
will receive Ell, should consist of a granular, free draining borrow material and
should be placed in accordance with the following recommendations for structural
fill. Prior to placement of structural fill, the surface to receive fill should be
prepared as previously recommended by removing topsoil and fill material, pre -
rolling and compaction. Structural fill should be placed in loose lifts not exceeding
8 inches in thickness. Individual lifts should be mechanically compacted to a
uniform density of at least 95 percent of the modified Proctor dry density (ASTM D-
1557). All fill placed on the site slopes should be properly keyed and benched into
firm materials in accordance with section 2-03.3(14), "Embankment
Construction", of the WSDOT Standard Specifications.
10 GES, Inc.
