SECTION 01400 <br />QUALITY CONTROL <br />work activities as required by the Contract, including formal notification, audit entrance/exit <br />meetings, an audit plan, performance of the audit, and issuance of an audit report. <br />Surveillance is an unscheduled review of the Contractor's work activities and generally <br />focuses on a specific activity. Surveillance does not include formal notification, entrancelexit <br />meetings or written plan, but is documented in a surveillance report. The Contractor shall <br />facilitate audits/surveillances by providing access to its facilities, personnel and records. <br />1.07 MANUFACTURERS' FIELD SERVICES <br />A. When specified in individual specification sections, the Contractor shall require that material <br />or product suppliers or manufacturers provide qualified personnel to observe material or <br />product installations at the site of the Work. to witness tests, to report, and/or to provide <br />direction, as specified. <br />The Contractor shall submit qualifications of manufacturers' and suppliers' representatives <br />in the field to the Resident Engineer thirty (30) calendar days in advance of required <br />services. <br />C. The Contractor shall report observations, decisions, or instructions given to applicators or <br />installers that are supplemental or contrary to manufacturers' or suppliers' written <br />instructions. <br />1.08 SUBMITTALS <br />A. Submit Inspection and Test Plan in accordance with Section 01330 Submittals and this <br />section within 15 calendar days of Notice to Proceed. <br />B. Inspection and Test reports shdll be submitted in accordance with Section 01330 <br />Submittals, this section, and the applicable technical sections of these specifications within <br />one (1) business day following execution of the inspection or test. <br />C. List of Construction Work Plans shall be developed by the Contractor within 45 days after <br />Notice to Proceed. <br />D. Construction Work Plans shall be submitted a minimum of 30 days prior to commencement <br />of each phase of the Work. <br />E. Name, qualifications, and certification of the Contractor's Independent Testing Laboratory and <br />all subcontracted Testing Laboratories shall be submitted within 30 days after Notice to <br />Proceed. <br />F. Names and qualifications of personnel performing Special Processes. <br />G. Qualifications of manufacturers' field personnel. <br />H. Observations, site decisions, and instructions issued by manufacturers' field personnel. <br />1.09 RECORDS <br />A. Records are defined as documentation required by the Contract. Record documents <br />include, but are not limited to, correspondence, submittals, test reports, Contract and shop <br />Capital Projects Commuter Rail 01400-12 IFB No. RTA/CP 21-06 <br />Everett Station Phase 2 QUALITY CONTROL <br />
