ATTACHMENT A TO SECTION 01900 <br />REVISIONS TO THE STANDARD PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS <br />The moisture content ot all foundation and backiill material shall meet the requirements of <br />Section 2-03.3(14)C, Method C. <br />2. Foundation and backfill material with a placement moisture content in excess ot the <br />optimum moisture content shall be removed and reworked until the moisture content is <br />uniformiy acceptable throughout the entire lifl. <br />3. The Optimum Moisture Content shall be determined in accordance with Section 2- <br />03.3(14)D. <br />Foundation and backfill shall be compacted to 95 percent of the maximum density as specified under <br />Compactinc� Earth Embankmen s, Method C, in Section 2-03.3(14)C, except as modi;ied herein: <br />The maximum lift thicki,�ss before compaction shall not exceed 10 inches. <br />2. The Contractor shall decrease this lift th,;ckness, ii necessary, to obtain the specitied <br />densily. <br />Acceptance of Concrete <br />Section 6•02.35(A), Genaral <br />In ihe secon�i paragraph, lhe reference to "Contracting Agency" is revised to read "Coniractor". <br />Section 6-02.3(5)D, Test Methods <br />The tirst sentence ot the first paragraph is revised to read: <br />Acceptance lesting shall be performed by ihe Contractor. <br />Section 6-02.34(5)E, Point of Acceptance <br />The last paragraph is revised to read: <br />It shall be the Coniractor's responsibility to provide adequate and representative samples <br />o( the fresh concrete ior ihe testing of concrete properties and making of cylinder <br />specimens. Once the Contractor fias turned over the concrete ior acceptance testing, no <br />more mix adjustments wil� be allowed. The concrete will either be accepted or rejected. <br />Section 6-02.34(5)G, Sampling and Testing Frequency for Temperature, Consistency, <br />and Air Content <br />The second sentence of the first paragraph is revised to read: <br />The Coniractor shall test for acceptance of concrete for slump, temperature, and air <br />content as follows: <br />The second sentence of the second paragraph is revised to read: <br />Concrete shall not be placed until tests for slump, temperature, and entrained air (if <br />applicable) have been completed by the Contractur, and the results indicate that the <br />concrete is within acceptable limits. <br />Section 6-02.34(5)H, Sampiing and Testing for Compressive Strength <br />This Section is replaced by the (oregoing Amendment ot the same title. <br />DRAINS <br />Materials <br />Section 7�012 is suppiemenled with the f�llowing: <br />Capital Projects Commuter Rail Attachment A to Section 01900 - 15 IFB No. RTA/CP 21-06 <br />� Eveiett Station Phase 2REVlSIONS TO THE STAyDARD PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONSAddendum No.4 <br />
