Box 10049 <br />Eugene, OR 97440 <br />MANHOLES, INLETS, AND CATCH BASINS <br />Descriqtion <br />Section 7-05.1 is supplemented with the followinp: <br />Structures shall conform to the requirements ot the Citv of Everett Desiqn and <br />Construction Standards and Specifications for Development, Section 4-2.3(3), item 1. <br />Construction Requirements <br />Sectian 7-05.3 is supplemented with ihe following: <br />Adjusting Manholes and Catch Basins to Grade <br />Section 7-05.3(t) is supplemented with lhe (ollowing: <br />Manholes, catch basins, and other structures shall not be adjusted to final grade until the <br />pavement is completed. Tiie center of each structure shall be carefully relocated from <br />re(erences previously established by the Contractor. The pavement shall be cut in a restricted <br />area and base material be removed to permit removal of the cover. The structure shall then be <br />brought to proper grade utilizing the same methods of conslruciion as (or ihe struciure itself. <br />The cast uun (rame shall be placed on the concrete blocks and wedged up to the desired <br />grade. The asphalt concrete pavement shall be cut and removed ro a neat circle, the diameter <br />of which shall be equal to outside diameter ot the cast iron irame pius 2 feet. The base <br />materials and crushed rock shall be removed and Class 3000 concrete shall be placed so ihat <br />the entire volume of the excavation is replaced up io within, but not to exceed, 1'/z inches of the <br />finished pavement surface. <br />On the following day, the edges ei the asphalt concrete pavement, and ihe outer edge of the <br />casting shall be painted with hot asphalt cement. Asphait concrete shall then be placed and <br />compacted with hand tampers and a patching ro!ler. Asphalt �oncrete and cement concrete <br />shall be considered as included in the unit price of ihe structure being adjusted. <br />The completed patch shalt match the existing paved surface tor texture, density, and uniformity <br />of grade. The joint between the patch and the ex ating pavement shall then be carefully painted <br />with hot asphalt cement or asphalt emulsion and shall be immediately covered with dry paving <br />sand before the asphalt cement solidifies. <br />The inside throat ot ihe siructure shall be thorouglily mortared and plastered. <br />Connections to Existing Manholes <br />Sectian 7-05.3(3) is supplemented with the (ollowing: <br />Capital Projects Commuter Rail Attachment A to Section 01900 - 17 IFB No. RTA/CP 21-G6 <br />� Everett Station Phase 2REVISIONS TO THE STANDARD PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONSAddendum No.4 <br />
