ATTACHMENT A TO SECTION 01900 <br />REVISIONS TO THE STANDARD PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS <br />install the tapping sleeve and valve assembiy. City personnel will perform ihe tap of ihe existing <br />main a(ter ihe Contractor has the sit� ready, the paris on hand, and is ready for the tapping <br />operation. City personnel shall be yiven at least a 48 hour minimum notice. Contractor shall be <br />responsible (or backtill, compaction, and restoration of tlie oavement once the tapping sleeve and <br />valve assembly has been installed by ihe City and tested. <br />Adjusting Valve Boxes to Grade: Where shown in the Plans, existiny valve boxes and covers shall <br />be adjusted to the grade as staked or otherwise designated by the Resident Engineer. The <br />Coniractor shall have the option of adjusting the valve box to grade by the use of riser rings. <br />Removal operations shall be conducted to prevent damage to the valve boxes. Any parts or <br />materials damaged due to the Contractor's operations shail be replaced at his expense. The <br />Contractor shall conduct his vaive box adjustments so that ihe (ully-adjusted box allows the <br />respective valve to be iully operational.
