A7TACHMENT A TO SECTION'01900 <br />REVISIONS TO THE STANDARD PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS <br />Rooi drain, tloor drain, and underdrain cleanouts shail be in accordance with City of Everett <br />Standard Drawing No. 604. <br />PRECAST CONCRETE STORM FILTER VAULT <br />Description <br />This work shall consisi oi designing, installing, completing, and grouting (watertight) of pre-cast reiniorced <br />concrete storm water filter vault. Also included, but not limited to, is the furnishing and installation of all <br />tilters and the hardware, pipe, tittings, and appurtenances to install the filters, installing the inlet ard outlef <br />accesses, and furnishing and placing sub-base and gravel backfill material, as shown in the Plans and <br />Details. The tacility shali be constructed in accordance with the approved shop drawings. The minimum <br />design loads shall be in accordance with ASTM C 890 and AASHTO "Standard Specifications for <br />Highway Bridges", HS-20. <br />Submittals <br />1. Stormwater Manac�ement shall submit shop drawings sealed by a�iructural engineer licensed in <br />the State o( Washinc�ton for approval by Resident Engineer. <br />?_. Stormwater Management shall submit an Operation and Maintenance Manual for use by the <br />Owner in accordance with Section 01785. <br />Materials <br />1. Internal Componenis <br />Ail internal components including PVC manifold piping, iilter cartridge(s), filter media, flow <br />spreader(s), and energy dissipator(s) shall be provided by Stormwater Management Inc., <br />12021-B NE Airport tNay, Portland, OR 97220 (B00/548-4667). <br />2. Filter Media: Filter media shall consist ot the (ollowing: <br />CSF Leaf Media: <br />CSF leaf inedia shall be made exclusively oi fallen deciduous leaves with less than 5% by dry <br />weight of woody or green yard debris materials. Filter media shall be granular and shall contain <br />less than 0.5% foreign material such as glass or plastic contaminanls. Media shall be dry at the <br />time o( installation. <br />The CSF leaf inedia shall have a bulk density ranging from 40 to 50 Ib/ft3 and particle sizes <br />ranging from 0.05 to 0.50 inches. Maximum level of dust for tilter media shali be defined as: <br />media passing through a US Standard Sieve t�4 shall have no more ihan 1 G% (by mass oi dry <br />media) passing a US Standard Sieve #45. <br />3. Filter Cartridc�e <br />Filter cartridge bottom pan, inner ring, and hood shali be constructed irom linear low-density <br />polyethylene. Filter cariridge screen shall c��sist of galvanized 1" x Yz" welded wire fabric (16 <br />gauge minimum) with a bonded Pb'C coa�ing. Internal parts shall consist of PVC or ABS pipe <br />and filtings. Siphorrpriminp float shall b� con;tructed from linear luw-density polyethylene. <br />Outer filter (abric shall be 10 x 8.5 clear (iberglass mesh. Inner (ilter isbric shall be 10 x 8.5 <br />ciear fiberglass mesh over [nkamat 7210 or woven polyethylene with a US Standard Sieve #20 <br />opening size.
