ATTACHMENT A TO SECTION 01900 <br />REVISIONS TO '!HE STANDARD PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS <br />Construction Requirements <br />Precast Concrete Vault <br />1. Vault iloor shall slope 1/4 inch maximum across ihe width and slope downstream 1 inch <br />per 12 foot oi lengih. Vault top tinish grade shall be even with surrounding finish grade <br />surface unless otherwise noted in the Plans. <br />2. Contractor to grout all inlet and outlet pipes ilush with vault interior wall. Contractor to <br />yrout internal baffle walls. <br />3. Sanded PVC tittings shall be used on all PVC inlet and outlet pipes. <br />4. Contractor responsible for inspecting and/or completing installation of flow spreaders and <br />energy dissipators. <br />Filter Cartridges <br />A. Filter cartridges shall not be installed until the project site is clean and stabilized. The <br />project sile includes any surface that contributes storm drainage to the StormFilter. All <br />ir�permeable sur(aces shall be clean and iree oi dirt and debris. All catch basins, <br />manholes and pipes shall be iree of dirt and sediments. <br />B. Contractor to notify Stormwaler Management (800-548-4667) two weeks before filter <br />cartridges are required on site. Stormwater Management will deliver filter cartridges <br />complete with filter media. Plugs will be provided ior all mani(old tittings nut equipped with <br />a filter cariridge. <br />C. Coniraclor to install lilter cartridges. <br />Filter Car�ridges Wi';i CSF Media: Tape shall be cleanly and completely removed from <br />manifold fitting openings. Spool pieces shall be inserted without glue into all manifold <br />tittings to be equipped with a(ilter cartridge. Filter cartridges shall be placed over the <br />spool pieces to contact the vault floor. Plugs shall be inserted without glue in all manitold <br />(ittings not equipped with a tilter cartridge. <br />PVC Piping <br />Shall be joined in accordance with ASTM D2564. <br />Anti-FloiaFion Ballast <br />Ballast shall be to if�e dimensions specified by ihe Engineer and noted o� the data block. Ballast <br />shail run the eMire I�:ngih ot the long side o( the vault, both sides. Ballast shall not encase the inlel <br />and/or ouUet piping. Provide 12" clearance (rom outside diam�ter of pipe. <br />Cleanup <br />Remove all excess naterials, rocks, roots, or foreign materia', leaving lhe site in a clean, compiete <br />condil;on approved by the Resident Engineer.
