ATTACHMENT A TO SECTION 01900 <br />REVISIONS TO THF. STANDARD PLANS AND SPECISICATIONS <br />Section 8-21.1 is supplemented with the followirg: <br />Permanent signing shall be ;nstalled in accordance with Section 8-21 of the Standard Specitications <br />with the tollowing modifications: <br />TraHic regulatory signs shall be installed in accordance with Everett Standard Drawing 716. <br />Street name signs shall be installed in accordance with Everett Standard Drawings 715 or 717 <br />as indicated in the Plans. <br />Consiruction Requirements <br />Sign Removal <br />Section 8-21.3(4) is revised to read: <br />Where shown in the Plans or directed by the Resident Engineer, the existing signs and, if so <br />indicated, the sign structures, shall be removed by the Contraclor. Where existing signs a;e <br />located within a conslruction or new pavement area, ihe signs should be removed and <br />relocated to their (inal locations as shown in the Plans. Where indicated, the Contractor shall <br />remove concrete pede>tals to a minimum of one toot below finished grade and backtill the hole. <br />Where an existing sign post is �o be removed from within a sidewalk area, the Coniractor shall <br />finish the area to make the sidewalk continuous. Wood signs, wood sign posts, wood <br />structures, metal sign posts, windbeams, and other metal structural members shall become ihe <br />property of the Contractor and shall be removed from ihe project. Aluminum signs shali remain <br />the praperty of ihe City of Everett. <br />Steel Sign Posis <br />Section 8-21.3(12) is supplemented with the following: <br />When AASHTO M 183 or ASTM 36 steel is used for posts, a welded bead approximately 2 <br />inches long shall be placed on ihe post approximately 6 inches from the base connection. <br />When AASHTO M 222, AASHTO M 223, ASTM A 572 Grade 50, or ASTM A 53 Grade B steel <br />is used, 2 welded beads approximately 2 inches long and 1/2-inch apart siiai( be placed on the <br />post approximately 6 inches from the base connection. <br />PAVEMENT MARKING <br />Description <br />Section 8-22.1 is supplemented with the (ollowing: <br />Pavement markings shall be instalied in accordance with Section 8-22 oi the Standaru Sp�cifications <br />with the (ollowing modifications: <br />Trafiic Lelter: Painted tra(tic letters shall include street and site lettering, including but not <br />limifea to "COMPACT" messages ihat sfiall be placed and dimensioned as shown in the Plans. <br />Parking Stall Line: Paint line consisting of oniy one application oi paint, and withou� a top <br />dressing of giass beads. <br />MONITORING WELLS <br />Description <br />This work consisis of installing three monitoring wells where shown in the Plans, and in accordance with <br />WAC Chapter 173-160, "i�linimum St2nda;ds For Construction And MaiNenance Of Wells". The locations <br />shown in ine Plans are approximate.
