SECTION 09651 <br />RESILI�NT TILE FLOORING <br />PART2-PROOUCTS <br />2.1 VINYL COIAPOSITIO�1 FLOOR TILE <br />A. Products: Subject to compliance with requirements, provide one of the following: <br />1. Armstrong World Industries, Inc. <br />2. Mannington Mills, Inc. <br />B. Tile Standard: ASTM F 1066, Class 1, solid-color tile and '.lass 2, through-pattern tile. <br />C. Wearing Sur(ace: Smooth. <br />D. Thickness: 0.125 inch. <br />E. Size: 12 by 12 inches. <br />F. Colors and Pat(erns: As selected by Architect from tul� range of industry colors. <br />2.2 INSTALLATION MATERIALS <br />A. Trowelabie Leveling and Patching Compcwnds: Latex-modified, portland cement based f:r <br />blended hydrau{ic-cement-based formulalion provided or approved by raanufacturer ior <br />applications indicaled. <br />B. Adhesives: Water-resistant type recommended by manufacturer to suit floor tile and substrate <br />condilions indicated. , <br />1. Use adhesives thal comply with the: following limits (or VOC content when calculated <br />according to 40 CFR 59, Subpart D(�PA Method 24): <br />C. Floor Poiish: Provide protective liquid floor polish products as recommended by manufacturer. <br />PART 3 - EXECUTION <br />3.1 EXAMINATION <br />A. Examine substrates, wilh Installer present, for compliance witf� requirements for maximum <br />m: �isWre content and other conditions affecting performance of the Work. <br />B. Verify that finishes of substrates comply with lolerances and other requiremenls specified in <br />other Sections and that substrates are free of cracks, ridges, depressions, scale, and foreign <br />deposils that might interfere with adhesion crf (loor tile. <br />1. Grind down or knock off and bumps or small rises in the concrete as these will translate <br />through the finish suriace and will eve�ntually cause it to fail <br />C.
