The plans should indicate thc requirement for a fire suppression system in accordance <br /> with Chaptcr 1G.76 o(the Everett Municipal Code. � <br /> 2. The plans sl�ould indicate the requirement for an automatic fire detection system in <br /> accordance with Chapter 16.76 of tlre Gverett Municipal Code. <br /> 3. I'sverett City Ordinance requires the elevator to be sized to accommodate a 24 inch by <br /> 84 inch amUulance stretcher in the horizontal, open position and identified by the <br /> international symUol for emergency medical services (Star of Life). The symbol shall <br /> not be less tlian 3 inches high and shall be placed inside on both sides of the hoist way <br /> door frame. <br /> 4. Thc elevator machinc room is required to be enclosed by a one-hour fire barrier. The <br /> door is also required to be one-hour IBC 3006.4. <br /> 5. II3C 1020.1 requires both stainvaysto be protected Uy exit enclosures. <br /> 6. IBC 1024.1 requires that at least 50 percent of exits discharge direcQy to the outside of <br /> thc building. Please note that Section 1002 defines "floor area gross" as "useable area <br /> undcr the horizontal projection of the roof or floor above."
