Conclusion: The antennas will enhance the public safety and general welfare of the
community by providing reliable service for public safety and emergency providers and
citizens using wireless services. Hundreds of police, fire and other public safety agencies
and ambulance departments rely on cellular nehvorks every day ad many calls are
placed to 911 or other emergency numbers from cellular phones. A recent survey
revealed that almost 70% of those polled believe safety and secuity are the best reasons
to own a celiular phone.
2. The adequacy of streets, utilities and public services required to serve a proposed
use.
Findinqs: Access to the site will be from Chestnut Street. Electricity and telephone
service are provided on site.
Conclusion: Existing streets and utilities are adequate to serve the proposed use.
3. The impact of traffic generated by the proposed use on the surrounding area,
pedestrian circulation and public safety; and the ahility of the proponent to mitigate
such potetial impacts.
Findinqs: The prcpised use is unmanned and will not generate traffic on ihe surrounding
area, pedestrian circulation and public safety. Only one maintenance visit per month is
reqired.
Conclusion: Tners will be no adverse traffic impacts generated by the proposal.
4. The provision of adequate off-straef, on-site circulation, and site access.
Findiqs: There is adequate off-street parking or; the VtlASHDOT site to accomrriodate
technician site visits every 3-4 weeks.
Conclusion: The proposed project will not impact off-street parking, on-site circulation or
site access.
5. Compatibility of proposed structures and imrovements with surrounding
properties, including the size, height, location, setback and arrangement of all
proposed buildings and facilities, especially as they relate to light and shadow
impacts on ore sensitive land uses and less intensive zones.
Findinqs: The monopole has several existing antenna platforms. Cingular proposes
adding antennas to lhe middle platform. There will be no added height to the existing
monopole. Proposed antennas will be painted to match ite color oi the existing Verizon
Wireless antennas and the color of the pole itself. There will be no buildings constructed
as parl of this application. Cabinets will be installed on a cement slab inside the fenced
area. Landscaping as described above will provide no visual impact of the cabinets to
surrounding properties.
Conclusion: Adding additional antennas on an existing 150' tall monopole will not
adversely impact the su,%rounding residential and retail iand uses.
