(Memo on file) <br />On October 22, 1987, I submitted a memo to the CHIF' office <br />advising them of the situation regardinq these buildiin3s and <br />asked i£ they wanted to talk with the owner about iF�ssible <br />use of the CHIP proaram to rehab the buildings. On 'Jctober <br />23rd, Dave K. noted on the memo that the CHIP off:ce had <br />contacted Tom McKee and he was not interested in fi�tf..ng his <br />properties up through CHIP. <br />March 22, 1988, Buildinq Ufficial N�tices and Urd�.;rs were <br />signed by the new Building Official (there was a ti.:;e lapse <br />between Oct. 87 and March 88 due to Callahan retirin:; and the <br />Building Official position being fil'.ed). The Orcuvrs were <br />delivered via certified mail, returr :receipt request:;:d. <br />April 22, 1988, Tom McKee responded in writing to tl�.e Orrie.:s. <br />There was < question on the part of sta£f as to the validity <br />of this letter being an appeal from t.he Orders. TFiie letter <br />was received by the Planning Dept. ora April 28th. ;f4�e 30 day <br />appeal time granted by the Notice an�� Orc'er was 30 ciays from <br />the date, �March 22, 88, on the Orders. Jim Iles was <br />contacted and he :aaid to give Mr. ^1cKee an appeal �date for <br />certain on filing an appeal (even t.'hrough the time.and date <br />were in the 0:-ders). <br />We have tried time and again to work with Mr. McK�te so, we <br />sent him a letter signed by Tim Tyler, 9uilding Of:t:icial and <br />dated May 11, 1986, granting Mr. McKee+ add�tional time to <br />file an appeal. The last d>te for the filing of tte appeal <br />was set as Ma.y 20, 1908. <copy of the .letter is c;n .file). <br />P.ccording to notes on file, Larry Crawford had c;ranted a <br />further extension of the 5-'LO-88 appeal da.te. <br />
