"j
MEMO; Property at Rockefeller and 22nd St.
Jan. 8, 1990
May 19, 19&B, Mr. McKee gave Tim Tyler an "OfEicial Notice of
Appeal." For some reason, I have nothing further on £ile
regarding this appeal.
I know there was discussion with Tim Tyler, myself a.nd
possibly Jim Iles and you regarding the next steps to take in
this abatement process. The next document on file is a
Supplemental Notice and Order of the Building Official dated
June 21, 198$. This Notice and Order gave Mr. McKee three
months to submit to the Building Official and i.he Planning
Director a report containing information, from a licensed
con3truction contractor, a licensed electrical contractor and
a licensed plumbing and mechanical contractor, describing the
necessary work to be conducted on the buildings in compliance
with Paragraph IV of the Supplemental Notice and Order which
states "Tte Buildings shall either be repaired in accordance
with the current Building Code, or shall be demolished."
Paragraph V of the Supplemental Notice and Order states:
"Failure to comply with the required conditions set forth in
Paragraph III o£ this Order shall constitute a misdemeanor,
and the Building Ufficial and Planning Diz•ector may cause the
owners to be prosecuted or may instituze any appropriate
action to abate the buildings." The Suppleme»tal Notice and
Order granted a 30 day appeal time. Again, the Order was
dated June 21, 1988 and igned by Tim Tyler and Dennis
Derickson.
During this period of time, another complaint was received by
Jim Langus on June 16th, 19Bb. Jim Langu had been kept
informed of the action during the past couple of years
regarding these buildings and our dealings with Mr. McKee.
