MEMO; Property <br />Jan. 8, 1990 <br />Page 4 of 5 <br />_�� <br />at Roc)cefeller and "12nd St. <br />You sent Jim Langus a memo on June 21st, 1988 regarding this <br />matter and advise�i him of the Supplemental Notice and Order <br />and that staif h�d granted Mr. McKee an 18 month extension <br />from June 22nd (the date of the Urder) to meet certain <br />conditions of the Order. <br />On August 8, 1988, Ben Edwards authorized the water service <br />to be restored to the buildinqs for construction only. <br />Apparently there was a building permit and electrical permit <br />issued for repair of che buildings. <br />On Sept. 21, 1988, I sent a memo to Tim Tyler stating that <br />the Supplemental Notice and Order had not been complied with <br />and recommended that we proceed with aba*.ement. <br />Jan. 11, 1989, a letter was sent to Mr. McKee, singed by Tim <br />Tyler and Dennis Derickson, advising Mr. McKee that he was <br />past due with the r�:quired reports pursuant to the June 21, <br />1988 Supplemental Notice and Order. He was given until May <br />1, 1989 to submit a written report. Failure to submit the <br />report would result in conCinued abatement of the buildings. <br />May 2, 1989, another complaint was received regarding "bad <br />looking structures and transients using them." I advised the <br />complainant of current action being taken. <br />June 6, 1989, I received copies of a letter Mr. McKee sent to <br />Tim Tyler. Mr. McKee was requesting more time for working on <br />the buildings. <br />As you can see, the City of Everett Staf£ has delayed <br />abatement action time and time again to allow Mr. McKee all <br />the time necessary to per£orm the work necessary to make <br />these buildings habitable. I feel we have gone beyond our <br />
