i II The City of Everett Building Official has found the buildings which are located on the above -described property to be dangerous. The following deficiencies render the building dangerous pursuant to Section 302 of the Uniform Code for the Abatement of Dangerous Buildings: 1. The structure is manifestly unsafe for the purpose for which it is being used. 2. The structure, in its deteriorated condition, has become an attractive nuisance to children and a harbor for vagrants. 3. The structure is maintained in violation of Ordinance No. 1247-86 of the City of Everett relating to the condition of structures. 4. The structure is in such a condition as to constitute a public nuisance known to the common law or in equity jurisprudence. III The buildings shall either be repaired in accordance with the current Building Code, or they shall be demolished. IV Since the buildings are uninhabitable in their present condition, they shall be vacated within seven (7) days of the date of the Order and remain vacant until such time as they are repaired in accordance with the current Building or demolished. V If the owners elect to repair the buildings according to the current Building Code, all permits must be secured therefore and the work physically commenced within 30 days of the date of this Order. All such work must be completed in compliance with the Building Code within 90 days of the date of this Order. VI If the owners elect to demolish the buildings, all required permits must be secured therefore within 30 days of the date of this Order. Such demolitions must be completed within 90 days of the date of this Order. VII If the required repair or demolition work is not commenced within the time set forth in paragraphs V and VI, the Building Official will order the buildings to remain vacant and proceed to cause the buildings to be demolished and charge the costs thereof against the property or its owners. VIII Any person having any record title or legal interest in the building may appeal from this Notice and Order to the Housing Advisory and Appeals Board. Such appeal must be in writing as is required in the Uniform Housing Code and filed with the Building Official within 30 days from the date of service of this Notice and Order. Failure to appeal will constitute a waiver of all right to an administrative hearing and determination of the matter. IX On June 22, 1188, at 8:30 a.m., the Building Official will. submit a resolution to the Everett City Council, City Hall, Everett, Washington, if Paragraphs V and VI of this Notice and Order are not complied with.
