22. Four iire hydrants (loop system) are required within 200 driving feet, but not closer <br /> than 50 feet, of every structure. The location of the hydrant must be approved by <br /> the Fire Marshal. <br /> 23. A sprinkler system complying with City Ordinance No. 1902-92, Chapter 16.76 of <br /> EMC must be provided within the building. <br /> Plans for any such system must be submitted to the Building Department and the <br /> Everett Fire Department for examination and approval. Such plans must include <br /> plans for the underground mains that will supply the sprinkler system. <br /> Above ground sprinkler piping must be hydrostatically tested as established in <br /> NFPA Standard 13. UndergrQund piping must be hydrostatically tested and flushed <br /> as established in NFPS Standard 24 for private fire mains. All such tests must be <br /> witnessed by a Fire Department Inspector. Call 259-8710 to make an appointment <br /> for inspection. <br /> Contractors' materials and test certificates must be submitted to the Everett Fire <br /> Department prior to issuance of any Certificates of Occupancy. <br /> The Applicant shall call 259-8726 for more information. <br /> 24. The building must have a fire alarm system installed in accordance with Uniform <br /> I Fire Code Standards 10-2. <br /> 25. A portable fire extinguisher with a minimum UL rating of 2A must be provided within <br /> 75 feet travel distance on each floor of all portions of each building during <br /> construction. <br /> 26. �ire lanes must be provided as required in EMC 46.44. Fire lanes must be <br /> identified by red curbs with white stenciling stating "NO PARKING - FIRE LANE" <br /> and vertical signs stating "N�� PARKING - FIRE LANE -TOW AWAY ZONE." <br /> Location must be approved by the Fire Marshal. <br /> 27. The premises must be clearly identified by address at the street entry. Each <br /> building must be clearly identified so as to be visible and legible from the access <br /> road. <br /> 28. Premise identification and all required Fire Department access roads and fire <br /> hydrants shall be in service prior to commencement of construction. <br /> 29. Fire safety practices during construction must be in compliance with the Uniform <br /> Fire Code, 1985 Edi:ion, Article 87, "Fire Safety During Construction". <br /> 30. Demolition of buildi�gs shall be in compliance with the provisions of the Uniform <br /> Fire Code, Section 8706, "Firesafety Durinc� Demo{ition". <br /> 31. Dumpsters over 1.5 cubic yard capacity shail be located a minimum of five feet from <br /> the building (UFC 1103.2.2, 1994 Edition). <br /> 16 <br />
