Eligible Employees may be asked to J <br /> present a valid THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT identification card when using a Federal Employee Pass,if <br /> available. <br /> 2.3 Trip Revenue• <br /> In the event of a generally applicable fare increase adopted by COMMUNITY TRANSIT,EVERETT TRANSIT, <br /> KITSAP TRANSIT,KING COUNTY,PIERCE TRANSIT,SOUND TRANSIT,or WASHINGTON STATE <br /> FERRIES the amounts shown in Attachment A may be increased at such time as a generally applicable fare increase <br /> is implemented by COMMUNITY TRANSIT,EVERETT TRANSIT,KITSAP TRANSIT,KING COUNTY, <br /> PIERCE TRANSIT,SOUND TRANSIT,or WASHINGTON STATE FERRIES and THE FEDERAL <br /> GOVERNMENT shall be required to pay the amount of such increase to KITSAP TRANSIT. At no time,however, <br /> will the total amount per month per employee exceed the maximum allowed by THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT, <br /> which is$115 ($1,380 per year per employee). The 2008/2009 rate for the Shore-Ship-Shore Pass includes a <br /> projected 3% increase in the WASHINGTON STATE FERRIES rate to be effective May 1,2009. WASHINGTON <br /> STATE FERRIES,KITSAP TRANSIT,and THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT understand and agree that,in the <br /> event of a WASHINGTON STATE FERRIES fare increase that exceeds 3%KITSAP TRANSIT will pay the <br /> additional amount to WASHINGTON STATE FERRIES. <br /> 2.4 Fuel Surcharge <br /> In the event of a fuel surcharge adopted and implemented by COMMUNITY TRANSIT,EVERETT TRANSIT, <br /> KITSAP TRANSIT,KING COUNTY,PIERCE TRANSIT,SOUND TRANSIT,or WASHINGTON STATE <br /> FERRIES,THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT shall be required to pay the amount of such increase to KITSAP <br /> TRANSIT. Said fuel surcharge shall be identified and billed as a separate surcharge. <br /> 3. EMPLOYEE CONTRIBUTIONS AND COMMUTE BENEFITS AND INCENTIVES <br /> 3.1 Eligible Employee Contributions <br /> THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT may require Eligible Employees to contribute toward the cost of a Federal <br /> Employee Pass Card, in the amount specified in Attachment B. <br /> 3.2 THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT-Provided Incentives and Benefits <br /> THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT shall provide at least two(2)additional non-single occupant vehicle commute <br /> mode incentives or benefits,listed in Attachments A or B,as a condition of participating in TRANSPORTATION <br /> PARTIES'program. j4 <br /> 4. THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT RESPONSIBILITIES <br /> 4.1 Eligible Recipients of a Federal Employee Pass Card <br /> THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT shall ensure that only Eligible Employees,as defined in Paragraph 2.1,receive <br /> Federal Employee Pass Cards. <br /> 4.2 Worksite Program Coordinator <br /> THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT shall require each worksite to designate a Program Coordinator responsible as <br /> necessary to handle and distribute Federal Employee Pass cards and to administer and perform the necessary Home <br /> Free Guarantee program tasks as described in Attachment D. <br /> 4.3 Ordering Federal Employee Pass Cards <br /> THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT shall provide to KITSAP TRANSIT'S representative,as listed in Section 16,the <br /> number of Federal Employee Pass Cards that THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT shall provide to Eligible <br /> Employees. The number of Federal Employee Pass Cards shall be listed in Attachment A. THE FEDERAL <br /> GOVERNMENT shall allow TRANSPORTATION PARTIES at least eight(8)weeks in advance of the cards' <br /> effective date to fulfill the request for Federal Employee Pass Cards. <br /> 4.4 Ordering Additional Federal Employee Pass Cards <br /> THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT shall retain the right to purchase additional Federal Employee Pass Cards for <br /> Federal Employee Pass Agreement Page 2 of 18 <br /> US Department of Transportation <br /> Oct.
