Fill associated with the culvert installation shall be protected from erosion to the 100-year peak <br />flow. <br />8. The culvert shall be installed and maintained to avoid inlet scouring and !o prevent erosion of <br />stream banks downstream of the project. <br />9. The culvert shall not exceed 40 feet in total length. <br />10. The culvert shall consist of a single barrel. <br />11. The culvert shall be 48 inches or greater in diameter. <br />12. The culvert shall be installed ir the location depicted on the plans. If the road crossing is moved <br />to the wider, ponded portion of the craek, the Area Habitat Biologist listed below shall be contacted <br />before proceeding. <br />13. Disturbance of the streambed and banks shall be limited to that ner,essary to place the culvert <br />and any required channel modification associated with it. Affected streambed and bank areas <br />outside the culvert a•�d associated fill shall be restored to preproject configuration foliowing <br />installation of the cuivert. Within one year of project completiun, the banke shall be revegetated <br />with native or other approved woody species. <br />14. Approach material shall be structurally stable and be composed of material that, if eroded into <br />the stream, shall not be detrimental to fish life. <br />OUTFALL PROVISIONS <br />15. Excavation for the placemenl of the struclure or armoring materials shall be isolated (rom the <br />wetted perimeter. <br />16. The stream bank at the point oi lhe discharge shall be armored to prevent scouring. <br />17. R�prap of the outfall energy dissipater shali be placed above the ordinary high water line in a <br />manner which dissipates the energy of the water and prevents erosion of lhe streambank. <br />18. The water shall enter the stream via a ilow spreader which causes the water to sheet flow <br />through the vegetation of the streambank at rates, and over a large enough areas, such that the <br />walei does not cause erosion. <br />Page 2 of 6 <br />
