residential areas and public right-of-way (uness thF right-of-way is the area
where additional lighting has been specifically requested).
1
' All construction storage areas will be fully fenced and locked at any time that
; work is not taking place. There will be no full tim2 3rd party security. If/when this
scale of security monitoring becomes necessary, an outside security firm will be
engaged for off-hours monitoring.
For securiiy specific issues, everyone will be encouraged to csll 911 in an
emergency, or the Colby Campus security office at (425) 261-3911 for non-
emergency security issues or after hours concerns.
For non-security construction issues the contacts will be Mortenson's project site
office at (425) 259-9140, or Mr. David Wachob (PEMC) at (425) 258-7902.
Construction Entrarces
The only construction entrarce into the Cancer Center project site will be as
noled on 13'h street. All material deliveies and equipment access will be through
this entrance. Parking on the north side of 13'" will be closed from the
intersection with Wetmore east to the eritrance into the Everett Community
College building just east of the intersection at Rockefeller. Some additional
parking may be closed and utilized further east for specific limited tasks on the
project. This ciosed parking area will be utilized to stage deliveries of concrete,
structural steel, mechanical equipment, etc.
Additionally, if there arises the need to 'stage' or 'que' delivery trucks, an
alternative holding area may be used on the east side of Rockefeller between
13'h and 14" streets. In this situation, 14'h ctreet will be used as the primary
inbound delivery route, and 13"' street as the primary outbound route back to
Broadway.
The construction entrance for the parking garage project will be ir,to the soulh
end of the site off of 14"' Street in alignment with the existing alley. The exit will
be in the same alignment out the north end of the site onto 13'' Street. As the
project progresses past the excavation phase, all or a p.xtion uf Rockefeller
between 14"' Street and 13'h 5treet will be closed for construction use and
access. If Rockefeller can remain open to traffic, the parking and sidewalk along
the east side of Rockefeller between 14°i Street and 1::'h Street wiil be closed for
construction use and staging. In addition, during the heavy steel erection phase
of the parking garage structure, steel delivery trucks v✓ill be staged and off-loaded
from Rockefeller requiring all or a portion of Rockefeller to be closed to traffic for
safety.
Traffic control will be essential and will be provided by means of a trainEd
flagging person or persons at all project gates and whenever the intermingling of
right-of-way improvements and traffic is unavoidable.
,W '-
