Prov�uance Regional Medical Center Central Utility Plant March 30, 2009 Description of Proposal: The proposed action is issuance oPpermits to allow construction of a 24,024 square foot utility building. The major components within the building would include: a} an eight- megawatt emcrgency generator plant; b) a 3,530 ton chiller plant; c) cooling towers and pumps; d) a boiler plant with operation capacity of 92,150 MBh (thousand Btu/hour); and, e) an outdoor medical gas (�xygen) storage facility with primary and standby tanl:s. Tlre development would also include ❑ndergrouud fuel storage tanks and fuei oil vents. Additional improvements would include underground utilities connect�ng the utility building ro the new l�ospital to�ver (presently under construction), parking for 25 vehicies and completion oP a 35' landsc�pe buffer along Uie west, nordi and easterly property lines. Au existing 40,000 square foot field house building and a 3,200 square foot m�intenance building wor,ld be demolisherl and approximately 128 existing parking stalls associated with the college field house would be elimina[ed. This project represents the 6rst phase of the adopted Master Plan for the hospital's expansiou on the ]iverett Community College property, approved by the Ciry on 5/20/08 (Ord No. 3090-08).
