Proposed meas+!res ta reduce or control emissions or other
y z impacts to air, if any:
HH
g ' H During Construction:
 dti
e Waterin9 of dusty areas will be performed when necessary to
control dust. If necessary, caked-on mud will be washed from
y o equipment tires prior to entry to polic roadways to minimize
exportation of dust-producing materials. Burning of cleared
vegetation will be conducted under Puget Sound Air Pollution
Control Agency perriit, within conditions deemed optimal to
reduce impacts to air quality. Idling equipment will be
turned off to reduce total emissions.
During Occupation:
The specifications for the zero-clearance fireplace units
planned for installation will be reviewed during the building
permit process and each will meet the Everett Fire and
Building Codes. The planned units are exempted from the
Washin9ton State Solid Fuel Combustion regulations due to
.', their exceeding a 30:1 air to fuel ratio and a minitaum burn
l'd rate of 5 kg/hour. The assumption for the exemption is that
" meetirg or exceeding these standards results in a cleaner
level of emission than an ordinary, damper-controlled wood
steve. Lokey Properties will provide a fireplace educational
1 Om packet to the occupants of each unit with a fireplace, which
,- will inform users of requirements to meet local air quality
standards through the use of proper combustion materials and
techniques of operation. Further, this educational pUogram
I '" will inform occupants that, as controlled by the Puget Sound
Air Pollution Control Agency, these fireplace units may not
be used durin9 a declared condition of Impaired Air Quality.
i f (_' + 3. Surface:
1) Is there any surface uater body on or in the immediate vicinity
Q of the site (including year-round and seasonal streams, saltwater,
' lakes, ponds, wetlands)? If yes, describe type and provide names.
If appropriate, state what stream or river it flows into.
.1 A 0.81 acre spiraea scrub/shrub wetland is found in the northern
edge of the site, fed by runoff from Interstate 5 and from
surface and subsurface drainage from the north. This area
discharges on the surface to the south, through the central
draina9e corridor and subsurface where past landform alteration
" has interrupted the corridor and created wet: season ponded areas
(See also Draft Wetland Delineation report, Rttachment B) . No
surface connection currently exists between the site
, and Silver La'e to the south.
7
,.,
