6. Everett Family YMCA - Child Care for Low Income Parents 8 CDBG funds will be used for the YMCA's child care program to meet the growing need for infant care for low-income families. Recommended 2009 CDBG Funding $10,000.00 Recommended 2009 CDBG Stimulus Funding $2,500.00 7. Deaconess Children's Services IMPACT: Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention IMPACT is an intensive child abuse prevention program which offers outpatient services to high risk parents, infants, and toddlers in hopes of breaking the cycles of abuse and neglect that are passed on down from one generation to another. Services provided include structured parenting education and support groups, outreach, case management and a therapeutic nursery. Community Health Center of Snohomish County The Community Health Center is a non-profit clinic providing on-site medical and dental care to low income people who do not have the health insurance or other resources to pay for health care through private physicians. Recommended 2009 CDBG Funding $15,000.00 Recommended 2009 CDBG Stimulus Funding $2,500.00 9. disAbility Resource Connection CDBG funds will be used to assist people with disabilities in their search for accessible and affordable housing and assistance with Section 8 subsidies and/or other applications. Imagine Children's Museum — Imaginate Program The Children's Museum will provide a summer enrichment program for low-income Hispanic/Latino children who are struggling to learn the English language. The program will help the children develop skills to overcome the enormous challenges they face, which are largely a result of their language barriers and economic status.
