2. Preliminary Seismic Evaluation: Reid Middleton will perform preliminary seismic evaluations of Buildings 2, 2A and 3 in accordance with Seismic Evaluations of Existing Buildings ASCE 41-13 (ASCE 41-13). Since we understand that employee safety is the primary goal of the project,these will be checked for Life Safety criteria,as defined by ASCE 41-13. The ASCE 41-13 Tier 1 Preliminary Seismic Evaluation checklist will be complete for the station. 3. Report Information:Reid Middleton will provide the findings of the preliminary seismic evaluation to the City of Everett as a letter report. BUILDINGS 2,2B AND 3 CONCEPT LEVEL DESIGN 1. Concept Level Design: Reid Middleton will provide a concept-level seismic retrofit and/or upgrade design to address the seismic deficiencies noted during the field investigations and Tier 1 Seismic Evaluation. The concept- level seismic retrofit designs will be designed for Collapse Prevention performance. The concept-level design will include a narrative description of proposed seismic retrofit and/or upgrade scheme with hand-drawn sketches depicting the extent and type of upgrades. This information will be suitable for preliminary planning-level cost estimating and project budgeting. PRESENTATION MATERIALS 1. Project Presentations: Reid Middleton will prepare presentation materials for the use of the City of Everett,if requested by the City of Everett. This may include items such as a short PowerPoint presentation,flyers or presentation boards. Upon request,engineers from Reid Middleton will attend a meeting to present their fmdings using the materials noted above. ADDITIONAL SERVICES REQUESTED BY THE CITY OF EVERETT PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE 1. Reid Middleton will begin services upon receipt of a signed agreement and will make every reasonable effort to complete the services in a timely manner considering the needs of the project. CLIENTS RESPONSIBILITIES 1. The City of Everett shall provide available pertinent data,documents and other information to Reid Middleton as necessary to complete the services outlined above. This may include,but is not limited to: record drawings for the buildings,previous report information and site access for site observations DELIVERABLES 1. Seismic assessments,upgrade concepts and cost estimates shall be completed by May 31,2017. 2. All services shall be completed by June 30,2017..
