,
5. SOURCE CONTROL
This project proposes to construct a new SFR on this parcel with a driveway. Per Volurc e
1 of the City of Everett 2010 Stormwater lanagement Mnual residential development
does not require source control.
6. PRESERVATION OF NATURAL DRAINAGE SYSTEM
The runoff irom the site improvements will be dispersed intolover amended soils on-site
and flow in the southerly natural downstream direction. However by breaking up the
existing compacted soils and providing the necessary soil amendments to the soils aruund
thc site a maxinium amount of site runoH from the deveioped project will be absorbzd and
intilirated into the existing on-site soils. This will mimic the existing conditions by
maintaining the existing direction and condition of tow from tfs site.
7. ON-SITE STORMWATER MANAGEMENT
The soils for this project were found to be Aldervvood sandy loam which have been graded
or had fill placed over it. Since on-site dispersion and soil management will be used the
existing disturbed soils on ihe site will be treated to meet the City requirements for
amended soils. The roof runoH will be directed to one of four splash blocks that will drain
awa/ from the SFR and to a shallow swale along the west or east property lines. The
swale will drain south and eventually leave the site over the southern property line.
For the new PGIS a transition zone has been designed to collect and disperse the flows
along the downslope side oi the new driveway area. The disnersed flows irom the
transition zone will pass over a rninimum of 10-feet of landscaping with amended soils
prior to leavir,g the site. This project does not propose to instruct more than 5,000 sf of
PGIS so it is exempt irom any water quality treatment systems per Minimum Requirement
6.
Finally, any area of the site not proposed to be covered with impervious suriaes will be
trea!ed to meel the criteria tor DOE BMP T.5.13. Please refer to the engineering plans for
the locations of the soil amendments and additional details
ldau 100 Ln 10 SFR 12-1205-10
fiec 2012 Page 9 ,
