March 2� 1994 9 943-1525 <br />-' 3.6.4 Title History Review <br />Our review of thc title history report did not reveal any property owners suspected of having <br />'- caused environmental contamination an tiie site. <br />3.6.5 Interviews <br />Our interviews with state, and local officials revealed no indication of the release or storage of <br />hazardous materials or. the subject site. <br />3.6.6 Agency and Records Review <br />The review of the CERCLIS and WDOE's affected media lists revealed that the subject <br />property was not listed and that two sites were listed within about a one mile radius of the <br />property. Numerous USTs and LUSTs were listed within a one mile radius of the property. <br />Th� closest LUST site was located at 1725 112th Street S.W. at tne Titan Construction Site. <br />The tanka located there tivere listed as removed and the site cleanup status listed as <br />completed. We do not expect any of the listed sites to have an adverse impact on the subject <br />site. <br />3.6.7 Asbestos Survey <br />The resulfs of the asbestos testing indicated that no asbestos was detected in the samples <br />collected at the house at 1831 112th Street S.W.. <br />3.7 Enviranmental Ascessment Summary <br />We did not observe any physical evidence of the presenca of hazardous substances on the <br />subject site. Our interviews and research indicated that no hazardous materials were <br />manufactured, stored, or dumped on the subject site. The test pits excavated for the <br />geotechnical portion of this study did not encounter any signs of subsurface contaminetion. <br />There is always the F�ossibility that the illegal disposal of haurdous material has occurred and <br />been covered so as not the be readily obvious from the surface. There is always a degree of <br />risk that additional materials requiring special handling may be encountered. <br />4. CEOTGCHNICAL INVGSTIGATION <br />4.1 General <br />The purpose of the f;eotechnical study was to investigate the soil and groundwater conditions <br />on the site and provide geotechnical recommendations for site development and construMion. <br />Based on the resulfs of our investigation, the site can be developed as planned using <br />conventional constniction melhoda. The following sections contain a summary of our <br />investigation and construction recommendations. <br />Golder Assoclates <br />
