in addition, the restrictor standpipe shold be etended 6
inches above the overflow elevation and capped. The cap
should re providei with a one inch vent hole.
Veaetated swales•
Spot elevations in the bottom of the swale shoulc. he given
at the head of the swale, at the swale tlet, r.nd at
approximately 5o foot intervals along the length of the
swale.
The swale construction notes and swale nnting/seeding
requirements must be shown on both te landscaping plan and
the storm drainage plan. The landscape plan must be
submitted with the next set- of plans.
The seed application rate and the number of wetland plants
for the emergent swale should be indicated on the seed r:,ix
and wetland plant lists, as shown on sheet 6/l0.
There is some concern that the skale and even the outlet of
the oil/water separator may be below the high water level in
the creek at the swale discharge location. This situation,
if it exists, would adversely affect the function of both
the swale and the oil/water separator. The high water
elevation in the creek must be determined and the
information, including method of determination, presented in
the drainage calculations.
The outlet of the swale, in the wetland buffer area, shold
be graded to provide a wide discharge area to the creek,
with side slopes no greater than 3:1. The swale side slopes
appear to exceed 3:1 as tlie swale nears the wetland buffer
area.
surface Pond Fencina Requirements:
Uness the applicant submits information showing that the
pond meets one of the conditions presented below, the pond
must be fenced. The location of the fencing and also the
location of the gates necessary to access the pond for
maintenance must be shown on the storm drainage plans.
All ponds with a maximum depth greater than three feet are
required to be fenced with a six foot high perimeter fence
unless one of the following conditions is met:
1) a l0 foot wide safety bench for every three feet of
design water depth and the side slopes of the pond are no
greater than 3:1 (H:V); or
