The stortn drainage system shown on lhe proposed site plan is generally <br />approved in concept only. Not enough infortnation has been submitted at this <br />time to detertnine whether or not the size, location, or configuration ot the <br />faciliNes shown will be adequate to meet City standards. The drainage plan <br />must comply with all of the conditions of the MDNS. <br />6. The Police Department has the following security recommendations: <br />a. 1he perimeter doors should be solid core with 190 degree to 220 degree <br />wide angle viewers and single cylinder deadbolts with 1" throw and at <br />least 3" screws securing striker plate. <br />b. If there is a common entrance to any building, it should be kept locked, <br />with an intercom and electronic access for ac::eptable visitors. Each <br />floor should have an access door wilh a elecVamagnetic lock and 2•way <br />intercom. A locked security gate should be provided on stairways. If <br />elevators are provided, keypad access should be provided to each floor. <br />c. Bay windows should overlook the parking lot for increased security �f <br />vehiGes. <br />d. Tot lots should be located near each apartment buildinp for immediate <br />parental supervision. <br />e. Sliding glass doors should have Charlie bars installed for optimum <br />securiry. <br />f. The area is notorious for vehicle vandalism and prowis. The developer <br />should consider fencing the site. <br />g. It laundry rooms are provided on premise, they should be centrally <br />located and highly visible. A panic button alartn sensor should be <br />provided. <br />h. Address and apartmant numbers should be in 5 inch letters and visible <br />from the street and parking lots. <br />i. Meilboxes should be centrally located in an aiea hiahly visible to the <br />apartments. <br />j. Uqhtlnp of the parking lot shou!J be a minimum of 1-2 foot candles. <br />k. A local fire and inWsion alartn system is recommended for the <br />recreation buildinq and offlce.
