Task 11—Unanticipated Tasks This task will include additional unanticipated labor or expenses not specifically identified in the scope of work tasks defined above. Such work items will be implemented on a work order basis and will be undertaken only after written authorization from the City. ESTIMATED SCHEDULE MSA's services described in this scope of work will occur over the following estimated schedule for the project. • Notice to Proceed Early May 2010 • Kick-off Meeting Early May 2010 • Surveying&Mapping June 2010 • Geotechnical Investigation June 2010 • Technical Memorandum& 50%Plans Submittal August 2010 • City Review of 50% Submittal September 2010 • Final Design 90% Submittal November 2010 • City Review of 90% Submittal December 2010 • Final Design 100% Submittal January 2011 • Bidding& Construction Contract March 2011 • Submittals &Material Procurement May 2011 • Construction Begins June 2011 • Construction Ends August 2011 • As-built Plans September 2011 • Project Closeout October 2011 Schedule Considerations: • At the time of this writing,the City is planning a short-term shutdown of Water Transmission Line 2 in September 2010 and again in April 2011 as part of the Replacement of the Water Transmission Line 2 Phase 8B project. • Water from Transmission Line 2 is not available during construction from mid-May through mid-September. • Construction activities in the vicinity of Jackson Elementary School should be avoided to the extent possible to minimize impacts to traffic and school operations when school is in session from early September through mid-June.
