A <br /> 2.4 Engineering Analysis-Perform engineering analyses to evaluate system hydraulics, <br /> confirm size of improvements,and establish design parameters. <br /> 2.5 50%Drawings-Develop plan and profile drawings to 50%completion level utilizing <br /> current project information and field data,including survey and geotechnical information. <br /> obtained in subsequent tasks. <br /> 2.6 Technical Memorandum—Develop design criteria and evaluate preliminary design options <br /> for the improvements. Design criteria,pipeline sizing,system hydraulics,corrosion and <br /> condition assessment,and recommendations will be documented in the Technical <br /> Memorandum. The Technical Memorandum will also include the 50%complete drawings, <br /> updated cost estimate,and other pertinent design information. <br /> • <br /> 2.7 City Review- Six(6)copies of the draft Technical Memorandum will be submitted to the <br /> City for review and comment. A meeting will be conducted with the City to review the draft <br /> report and discuss comments. The memorandum will be revised based on comments and <br /> discussions with City and final copies of the Technical Memorandum and an electronic copy <br /> (PDF file)will be submitted to the City. <br /> City Responsibility: <br /> 1. Potholing and excavations will be completed by City staff for field inspection of the existing <br /> pipeline exterior. <br /> 2. The City will provide access to the pipe and perform video inspection of the interior, <br /> including pipeline excavations,traffic control,removal of pipeline sections at excavated <br /> areas, dewatering, draining pipeline,and pipe and site restoration. <br /> 3. Complete technical review of the Technical Memorandum and all supporting documentation <br /> with verbal or written comments. City review period is 3 weeks. <br /> Assumptions: <br /> • The Project Manual will not be prepared for the preliminary design phase. A draft list of <br /> specifications will be provided. <br /> Deliverables: <br /> • Six(6) copies of the draft Technical Memorandum for the City's review. <br /> • Six(6)copies and 1 electronic copy(PDF file) of the final Technical Memorandum. <br /> Task 3—Surveying and Mapping <br /> This task will provide design surveying and mapping needed to produce final design plans <br /> (topographic surveys). The surveying and mapping services will be conducted by MSA <br /> subconsultant Metron&Associates.
