MSA/Metron Responsibilities: <br /> 1. Horizontal control(NAD 83/91)and vertical control(NAVD 88) shall be established from the <br /> nearest approved City control monument for each of the various project sites. Control <br /> monument selection and survey methodology to be used shall be coordinated with and <br /> approved by the City prior to beginning the control survey. All survey control work shall <br /> conform to the"Surveying and CAD Standards for the City of Everett"and shall be recorded in <br /> a City-supplied field book. Establishment of new control monuments shall conform to the <br /> "Surveying and CAD Standards for the City of Everett". <br /> 2. Order design locates (surface markings) of all known underground conductible utilities and <br /> coordinate with City water crews to physically locate all water service and sewer connections <br /> in the field, and incorporate those locations into the base maps. All other underground utility <br /> lines and services to be approximated based on painted surface markings and/or existing record <br /> as-built drawings obtained. <br /> 3. Show right-of-way, centerline,property boundaries and easements on plans. Do not mark or <br /> field locate unless directed by the City. Locate and map all private structures within City right- <br /> of-way and easements. Show property lines from GIS data provided by the City and field check <br /> street addresses. <br /> 4. The first version of the survey base map will be submitted electronically to the City for review <br /> to determine conformance with City standards for sheet size, layout, layer conventions, etc. <br /> 5. Set additional temporary bench marks at each street intersection and generally at a midpoint <br /> between intersections. Maximum distance between temporary benchmarks will be 500 feet in <br /> distance or 20 feet in elevation or shorter distance in order to adequately facilitate construction <br /> of the project. <br /> 6. Show invert elevations, ID dimensions and pipe material (if discernable) of storm drain pipes, <br /> sanitary sewers, catch basins and manholes. <br /> 7. Show topography lines at 2-foot intervals on roadways. <br /> 8. Survey cross-sections of the streets and alleys at approximate 50-foot intervals between right- <br /> of-way lines. Show all known utilities including individual service lines,water meters, curb <br /> stops, water and gas valves, manholes, catch basins,power poles,buried power lines, etc. <br /> Survey painted utility locate marks, coordinate survey with utility locate personnel. Provide <br /> inverts of pipes for catch basins and manholes (lid elevations, all incoming/outgoing pipes) and <br /> swales, ditches, or other conveyances for surface runoff. <br /> City Responsibilities: <br /> 1. City to provide all available as-built documents for City facilities. <br /> 2. City crews to locate and surface mark all water service connections in advance of field surveys. <br /> 3. Provide monument location index and blank survey field books. <br /> 4.
