well as potential extra restoration on adjacent streets. Correction of areas having
inadequate existing drainage if any.
6.5 ADA Compliance Verification — Once street rehabilitation and sidewalk
improvement limits are defined, City will perform a field review of the affected
intersection corners to assess ADA compliance. MSA will verify as needed and take
measurements using an FHWA checklist to determine ADA compliancy. With input
from City, make determination of where curb ramps need to be replaced and/or added
to meet ADA requirements. Documentation of where ramps are recommended to be
replaced will be shown in the 30% design package.
Assumptions:
1. The study area will include the area bounded in counterclockwise direction by
Alverson Blvd., Grand Avenue, 1011 Street, Wetmore Avenue, 5a1 Street and
Rockefeller Avenue.
2. Total length of streets to be evaluated is approximately 11,000 linear feet.
3. City to provide all available as -built documents for City facilities, available
engineering reports and other requested data.
4. Field reconnaissance shall include up to five site visits.
5. City will perforin pavement cores and provide results to MSA.
Deliverables:
1. One (1) electronic copy in PDF format of draft and final technical
memorandum presenting pavement restoration condition assessment.
2. ADA compliance checklists of evaluated ramp comers.
3. Meeting minutes, design decisions or directions given by the City etc.
4. Electronic copy of formal "Request for Information".
5. Recommend locations for pavement cores to be performed by the City.
Task 7 — Preliminary Design
This task provides for preliminary engineering design services to include analyzing the data
collected and hydraulic modeling results, conducting an alternative analysis, a workshop
with the City staff, and preparing preliminary design drawings (30% design completion
level) and an engineer's opinion of probable construction cost. Anticipated elements of this
task will include:
7.1 Data Reque t and Information Gathering — Work under this subtask includes
gathering and reviewing all relevant data to the project. A number of documents and
reports will be requested and reviewed as part of this task. MSA will develop a
f oi,-nai '`Reqest l'Or lnfonnation" and coordinate with the City during data collection
to ensure necessary Lnfoinlation, if available, is gathered for the project.
27
c1L 11 r LvC1ClL PIUP'z ':117II-ccr` ie5;?, rirli>estStcrn ,atrS p raiien
 -
