Energy. Contact appropriate utilities to confirm presence or absence of
facilities in the project corridor.
B. Utility Coordination — Coordinate with utility companies that are affected by
the project. Coordination includes submitting preliminary 30% plans for
review and technical input by utility companies. Plans will be distributed to
utilities in the project vicinity. A written record will be kept for all
communication with utility providers.
7.7 Potholing — Based on utility mapping, field information and survey data, identify
potential utility conflicts and assemble a list of recommended locations to pothole and
develop a potholing plan for the project. Coordinate with the City and subconsultant,
APS, to complete utility potholing and provide specific information such as
dimensions, location and depth.
7.8 30% Design Package —Based on the preferred alternative defined in the previous
subtask, a 30% design package, including preliminary plan set, will be developed for
the City's review. A preliminary engineer's opinion of probable construction cost
will be developed and will include a schedule of estimated quantities, unit prices, and
total preliminary opinion of construction cost for each element of the project.
7.9 City Review — Electronic copies of the 30% Design Package will be submitted to the
City for review and comment. A meeting will be conducted with the City to review
and'discuss comments. Written responses to review comments will be prepared and
submitted in a timely manner.
Assumptions:
1.
Alternatives will be limited to utility alignments for the storm drain network
within the City's right-of-ways and storm water detention ponds located in the
Legion Golf Course.
2.
The 30% design plan set will include approximately 35 plan sheets consisting
of, but not limited to, general plan sheets, storm drain plan and profiles,
detention pond plan and cross sections, legends for the locations for roadway
restoration and curb ramp replacements, and details of key elements.
3.
For the development of this scope of work and associated fee estimate, it is
assumed that the project will consist of approximately 9,100 linear feet of
storm drain piping, 11,000 linear feet of roadway restoration and the
replacement of 60 curb ramps at 20 intersections within the project area.
4.
City will participate in a workshop with the MSA team.
5.
City to conduct review of the preliminary design dravdngs, engineer's opinion
of probable construction cost and all supporting documentation with verbal or
written conu lents within fifteen (15) ,,vork_ing days after receivulg 30% design
6,
package.
•,
City to IJ 'J\_ 1l available aS-bull OCL i11i S for i5 f;C11 i1 S, J'%alla,y_:.
c D;neer nr i'f=p ort,s; and otller regtie sted da '.
29
I`;:., .-.: 7,—I—<ii?''..
