GENERAL INFORMATION <br /> 1. The Police Department has the following security recommendations: <br /> a. The project should provide indoor recreational area with fitness, game and <br /> meeting/reception rooms. Tot lots should be centrally located and near each <br /> apartment building for parental supervision. <br /> b. Local fire and intrusion alarm systems (zoned for each entity) are recommended <br /> for any game room, sport facilities, and offices. <br /> C. The perimeter doors should be solid core with 190 degree to 220 degree wide <br /> angle viewers and single cylinder deadbolts with 1" throw and at least 3" scrrws <br /> securing strikerplate. <br /> d. Bay windows should overlook the parking lot for increased security of vehicles. <br /> e. Sliding glass doors should have Charlie bars installed for optimum security. <br /> f. Address and apartment numbers should be in 5 inch letters and visible at night <br /> from the street and parking lots. <br /> g. Mailboxes should be centrally located in an area highly visible to the apartments. <br /> h. During the final stages of construction, please contact Dick Thomberry, Crime <br /> Prevention Officer at 259-0416 for further security recommendations. <br /> 2. The Snohomish County PUD curreri!ly has sufficient capacity to serve the proposed <br /> development. For information about tt a electrical service requirements for this project, <br /> Please call Dan Gadbois of the District's Customer Engineering Office, Everett at <br /> 258-8560. <br /> 3. GTE Northwest Incorporated will provide service to the site. However, new telephone <br /> cable construction will be required in conjunction with the sits development. GTE's <br /> engineering will begin when they are notified of your construction schedules and <br /> telephone requirements. <br /> It will be the developer's responsibility to provide a suitable combination of conduit and <br /> trenching and/or riser conduit to accommodate GTE's network communications cable <br /> within the complex. Provided that an acceptable combination of conduit and/or trenching <br /> are incorporated into the project to accommodate GTE's entrance cable, there will be no <br /> costs to the developer for GTE's cable. <br /> If a rearrangement of existing cables on premise or on the right-of-way is necessary, <br /> appropriate charges will be estimated and GTE's Guaranty of Payment form will be <br /> forwarded to you for your signature. Prior to commencement of GTE's engineering for <br /> such rearrangement, a deposit will be required. To insure <br /> timely <br /> t lephnd nse se is ofGTE <br /> E <br /> requests ninety (90) days lead time for engineering, p m <br /> cable and/or GTE's equipment. <br /> Please contact Michael Hupf, Senior Engineer, at 356-4052 should you require additional <br /> information. <br />
