These <br /> comments address building issues only, additional revisions or additions may be required by other <br /> departments (such as Utilities, Planning or Fire). All references refer to the 1991 Uniform Building <br /> Code, as amended by the State of Washington and/or Washington State Energy Code 1991, 2nd <br /> Edition, unless stated otherwise. <br /> 1. The plans submitted are incomplete. The comments that follow are general in nature and may <br /> not be complete. <br /> 2. Group RI occupancies three or more stories in height or containing more than four dwelling <br /> units or over 6,000 square feet shall be equipped with an automatic fire suppression system <br /> (fire sprinklers) per City Ordinance 1902-92. <br /> 3. Group RI occupancies over 3,000 square feet shall be equipped with an automatic fire <br /> detection system (tire alarm system) per City Ordinance 1902-92. <br /> 4. Horizontal occupancy separation shall be supported with a structural system having <br /> equivalent fire-resistive protection. Section 503(b). This is item applies to the garage areas <br /> with living space above. <br /> 5. Draftstop shall be defined on the plans Location and materials shall comply with Section <br /> 2516(0. <br /> 6.
