Attic ventilation shall be provided per Section 3205(c). <br /> 9. Provide ICBO Evaluation Report Number or test data from an approved testing laboratory <br /> for approved factory-I lilt fireplace and chimney to be used. Section 3705. <br /> 10. Provide dimensions of hearth extension which conform to the conditions of listing and <br /> manufacturer's installation instructions. Section 3705(b). <br /> 11. The top of handrails are to be placed not less than 34 inches nor more than 38 inches above <br /> the nosing of treads. Section 3306(1). <br /> 12. Handrails projecting from a wall must have a space of not less than 1'h inches between the <br /> wall and the handrail. Section 3306(1). <br /> 13. Handrails must have their ends returned or terminate in newel posts or safety terminals. <br /> Section 3306(i). <br /> 15. At least one handrail shall extend at least 12 inches beyond the top riser and -gond <br /> the bottom riser. Section 3306(i). <br /> 16. Guardrails for stairs, balconies and landings shall conform with Section 1712(a that <br /> maximum clearance between intermediate rails is less than 4 inches and gua ail height <br /> should be 42 inches. (Guardrails at the sides of open stairways may have a height as <br /> permitted for handrails.) Section 1712(a). <br />
